• QA and Admin Assistant

Description of the role

As the QA & Admin Assistant, you will work closely to support the Head of Product and Product Team, as well as the wider company.

The role will involve creating label and packaging briefs in accordance with product specifications, as well as proof reading the subsequent labels and label proofs that will come back from printing partners. Additionally, the QA & Product compliance operative will support the Product Team with administrative and clerical duties such as organising and filing documents, completing forms, and maintaining excel trackers/records.

This role will also require you to be flexible in order to support various projects and opportunities that arise, outside of the day to day operations. 

No experience is necessary but good computer literacy and strong organisational skills are essential.  Key responsibilities also include:

  • To ensure that all aspects of Product Packaging are fully compliant with the relevant current legislative requirements, & that they are regularly reviewed & updated accordingly; any changes should be communicated to the relevant team-members by way of agreed procedure/s
  • The preparation of artwork briefs, so that the design team are provided with all relevant information that they must include on packaging and then the subsequent proof reading and approval of artwork before printing.
  • Assisting the QA & Compliance Operative in the organisation of the Company Product Information Database by entering data for Specification sheets, Product Information sheets and subsequently assisting in filing Specification Sheets, Production Information Sheets and labels as well as any other information regarding products.
  • Maintaining a range of approximately 12 Excel tracker documents, and ensuring the records kept on these trackers are correct and up to date.
  • General Administrative tasks, e.g. Completing forms, keeping meeting minutes, data entry, condensing notes and occasional liaison between internal teams.

  • Great time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel
  • Great research and analytical skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • The ability to focus on process
  • High levels of literacy and numeracy

Please note that for this role, you could either be based in our Glasgow office or work from home. Whilst the majority of the work can be carried out online and therefore remotely, there will be a requirement for in-office collaboration from time to time.

Salary : £22,000
