• Email Marketing Specialist

Description of the role

This is a vital role new for Wolfson Brands, and one which will work across a number of our teams to contribute to written content strategy, deliver our email marketing requirements across a number of our brands, and support the wider team with nurturing new leads. As it’s a new role, it provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop the role. 

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working with the brand team to get to know our customer personas and brief in content that suits their needs.
  • Working with the Head of Content and Social Team to create a content calendar that’s aligned with other communications.
  • Creating the written content for email newsletters for brands with content marketing strategies
  • Monitoring customer engagement with content and reporting results to the campaign marketing team.
  • Email marketing for Muscle and Health Magazine, creating lead gen forms and ensuring all new leads go into a welcome flow.
  • Working with the Muscle and Health team to ensure top written content from the website & social is pushed out to subscribers weekly.
  • Work with the Head of Content to create lead magnets to go alongside our top-performing blog posts, working with the tech team to get these uploaded onto sites.
  • Working with the Head of Campaigns to create flows that turn new leads into buyers.
  • Creating copy for email & SMS seasonal campaigns and helping with campaign setup during busy periods.
  • Building email templates, and ensuring all links have UTM codes

Please note the focus of this role is developing written content, and whilst an understanding of wider content marketing skills would be useful, the key requirement is written content experience and skill. The following attributes are also vital for this role:

  • Substantial experience in copywriting, writing for US audiences is desirable
  • Ability to understand a range of customer demographics and suggest exciting and engaging content ideas for them
  • A great team player whose communication style enables a collaborative approach to both planning and delivery
  • Organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop outstanding working relationships with colleagues across the business
  • The ability to be flexible in an ever-changing environment
  • Experience in email marketing in fitness, health or beauty brands is preferred
  • Experience with Klaviyo or similar ESP is preferred

Please note that for this role, you could either be based in our Glasgow office or work from home. Whilst the majority of the work can be carried out online and therefore remotely, there will be a requirement for in-office collaboration from time to time.

Salary : £25,000 to £30,000
